FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Do I need to book in advance?
Yes please. Unfortunately we can't accept walk-ins for our alpaca walks.
What do I need to bring on a walk?
We ask our customers to dress appropriately for an outdoor adventure. Sturdy closed-toe shoes are advised. We will not walk with anyone not wearing appropriate footwear, such as sandals. We still walk in light rain so please bring waterproofs if necessary.
Can I bring my dog?
Sorry, we don't allow dogs on our alpaca walks.
Can I feed the alpacas?
Our alpacas have their own diet so we don't allow feeding, unless it's arranged as part of the session, using their own special food (so, no cake!)
Do the alpacas bite?
No, alpacas are very calm and friendly animals.
What happens if it's raining?
Walks are weather dependent and if the weather is unsuitable for walking we reserve the right to cancel the walk and offer an alternative date suitable for you. We cannot give refunds for other circumstances out of our control.
What is your cancellation policy?
In the event that we have to cancel a session due to adverse weather conditions, we will make every effort to rebook you on another session. If we are unable to accommodate a day and time that suits you, we will offer a full refund.
If you no longer want to attend your alpaca experience booking and wish to cancel without rebooking to an alternative date, we will offer a refund if the cancellation is requested 7 or more days before the booking, to allow us time to readvertise the availbility. If the booking is cancelled less than 7 days before, unfortunately, we cannot offer a refund.
Cancellations made 48 hours before the session, unfortunately we cannot reschedule or refund.
Please note: Bookings for Christmas Alpaca walks and Santa Meet and Greets are non-refundable unless sesisons are cancelled due to adverse weather. Every effort will be made to rebook your session to an alternative date and time.

Is there a minimum age range for children?
We don't have a minimum age, but children under the age of 14 must share an alpaca with a responsible adult over the age of 18.
Do you offer private bookings?
We do! We can accommodate private group bookings and can help you create a bespoke experience. Please email sheriffalpaca@gmail.com to discuss your idea.
